There are several ways how barefoot running can help you to become a better runner. I have been experimenting with barefoot running myself when I used to have a lot of injuries. Running barefoot once in a while helped me to overcome my injuries. In this article I will tell you about some of the benefits of barefoot running.
How to start running barefoot
It is very important that you don’t start out to fast! Your body isn’t used to running without the comfort of your shoe’s, so when you increase the amount of barefoot running to fast, you probably will get an injury.
You can start out by running just for a few minutes barefoot every week. I advise you to only run on soft surfaces like grass in the beginning. You can slowly increase the amount of barefoot running every week and when your feet are stronger, you can start to run on harder surfaces like a running track.
Barefoot running has helped me to improve my running technique and overcoming my injuries and I hope it will help you as well. Sorry if there are some grammar mistakes in this article, English is not my native language.
